PRODUCTION PACKER

The AS-1X Retrievable Production Packer is a versatile packer that meets several requirements for zone isolation, injection, pumping, and production. The packer is designed to withstand 10,000 psi differential allowing it to be used in completions where high-pressure treating operations are performed. A full opening ID corresponding to the appropriate tubing allows unrestricted flow and passage of wireline tools and other accessories. After setting, the packer can be left in tension, compression, or neutral. An internal bypass reduces swabbing effect during running and retrieving. The bypass closes upon setting the packer. When releasing, the bypass opens first to equalize pressures before releasing the upper slips. A non-directional slip is released first which makes it easier to release the other slips. The mechanical locking action holds pressures from above and below the packer, whether the packer is set in tension, compression, or neutral.

FEATURES
Will sustain 10,000 psi working pressure for applications that include acidizing, fracturing, and production testing operations.

One-quarter turn to set and release: right hand set - right hand release, or left hand set - right hand release.

Can be set with tension for use in shallow wells.

When set, the tubing may be spaced out with neutral, tension, or compression loads at the tool.

Bypass opens before upper slips are released.

May be run in conjunction with an equalizing valve as a bridge plug.
